Social Security: Seven keys to enhancing your benefits

Free Workshop on the impacts of Social Security on June 4, 2024

The Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 passed quickly and didn't get a lot of attention, but the changes could impact the retirement plan of millions of Americans.

You've probably heard that the there are different ways to file for Social Security benefits. In the past, many retirees chose to "file and suspend" or file restricted applications for spousal benefits in order to maximize their income in retirement.

With changes in legislation, though, both strategies were phased out.

So what do the changes mean to you?

Find out at this free, informational workshop sponsored by WaterStone Investment Services. We'll help you make sense of Social Security and explore a variety of topics, including:

  • How your payments are calculated;
  • Keys to optimizing your benefits;
  • When it really does pay to wait;
  • How working in retirement can potentially reduce your Social Security income;
  • Case studies for married, single, divorced and widowed filers.

Finally, we'll discuss who may still be eligible for certain spousal filing strategies.

This workshop is ideal for anyone between the ages of 55 and 70 who hasn't yet elected Social Security.
